A Few Words About Us
- BREAD was established on 24th April 2009 as the window for India to implement Mary’s Meals project in the country. It’s registered Under Public Charitable Trust Act, 1882. ‘THE MOTTO OF BREAD IS 'EMPOWERMENT THROUGH EDUCATION’.
- Today thousands of children from the most deprived sections of the society, such as rag-pickers, slum, rail way platform, brick-line are given food and education in a formal and non-formal class-room set up.
- The purpose of the unique programme is to ensure that every child gets access to food education. It strongly believes that educating children is the best way to eliminate poverty they might see light at the end of the tunnel.
- The main objective of Board For Research Education And Development (BREAD) is to support the children who belong to the voiceless and marginalized sections of the society until they are able to stand on their own legs.
