Board for Research, Education and Development (BREAD) was established on 21st April, 2009, to ensure that every child has access to both food and education. It is firm in its belief that educating children is the most effective approach to eradicate poverty, and that they may see light at the end of the tunnel. Bread’s motto is “Empowerment Through Education”. The major purpose is to support the children who belong to the voiceless and marginalised groups of society through Mary’s Meals, Mother’s Care, Mother’s Leap and School Improvement Program.

BREAD never restricted itself to the field of food and education only but always went ahead and took initiatives to reach out to those who were struggling and needy in times of natural calamities, emergency situations, pandemics etc.
